Monstera
A monstera is a genus of flowering plants native to tropical regions of Central and South America, commonly known for its large, split or perforated leaves, which gives it the nickname "Swiss cheese plant". These evergreen vines have thick, climbing stems and aerial roots that absorb moisture and nutrients. While a mature plant can produce an edible, pineapple-like fruit, the plant itself contains a high level of oxalic acid and should be handled with care.
