Hoyas, or wax plants, are a genus of 200-300 tropical species known for their thick, waxy leaves and star-shaped, often fragrant flowers. They are popular houseplants with trailing vines, woody stems, and varied foliage shapes, and many are easy to care for. Hoyas are semi-succulents that prefer bright, indirect light and are native to parts of Asia, Australia, and Polynesia.
