Maranta
Maranta, or prayer plant, is a low-growing, tropical perennial known for its striking, patterned oval leaves that fold up at night like praying hands. Native to Brazil, it grows in a clumping and spreading habit and features unique foliage with vibrant colors and vein patterns that differ by variety, such as the red-veined M. leuconeura erythroneura or the lime-marked M. leuconeura 'Lemon Lime'. While it can produce small, insignificant flowers, its primary ornamental appeal is its beautiful, unique leaves, which are a source of constant visual interest as they move throughout the day
