Anthurium

Anthurium plants are tropical perennials known for their glossy, dark green, heart-shaped leaves and waxy, colorful spathes that symbolize affection and hospitality. The "flower" is actually a modified leaf (spathe) and a tall, tail-like spadix, which is often cream-colored and can be found in vibrant shades of red, pink, white, or even black. These plants require bright, indirect light and high humidity, and they are toxic if ingested, causing irritation from calcium oxalate crystals.
